Welcome to Twist's Outlet on picturesque Charleston Lake. We invite you to share in our yesteryear ambiance and our natural rugged landscape. This is an ideal quiet spot for just "getting away from it all", enjoying a relaxing country walk, pick wild flowers and berries, or paddle your canoe on the pristine calm waters of Charleston Lake. Hear the call of the loon and get back to nature.
Twist's Outlet is located at the southernmost tip of Charleston Lake in the tiny but colourful hamlet of Outlet.
The Lake has over 100 miles of shoreline and in some parts the depth exceeds 300 feet. You can fish here for Northern Pike, Large and Small Mouthed Bass, Lake Trout and Perch. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Fishery Management Stock the lake annually. Bring your own boat or rent one of ours with 8 or 9.9 hp motors.
Charleston Lake Provincial Park is just a two minute drive from Twist's Outlet. A day pass allows full use of the Park's services and activities.

Charleston Lake is well-suited to exploration on foot and by canoe. On the three trails, you will see a prehistoric campsite the remains of an abandoned farm, and lookouts high above the lake. On selected summer weekends, the park organizes short canoe trips across Charleston Lake to Blue Mountain, from which there are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside
